Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT)
CBIT incudes following components:
- Psychoeducation
- Self-awareness training
- Relaxation training
- Establishing a tic hierarchy
- Formulating a competing response for targeted tic
Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT) is a structured, evidence-based habit reversal treatment typically delivered over eight sessions. It is most effective for children, adolescents, and adults who are motivated to manage their tics and possess some awareness of their tics and associated urges.
