About me
I am a caring, knowledgeable and empathic clinician with over 15 years of experience providing individual, couples and family therapy.
I am a registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. I am also a member in good standing of the Ontario Association of Social Workers.
I obtained my Master’s degree in Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2007 and have worked in various settings, including: children mental health, community health center, hospital outpatient mental health department and private practice.
I have worked with diverse populations, ranging in age, abilities, cultural, racial and religious backgrounds. My approach is skillful, nurturing, supportive, culturally-sensitive and client centered.
My Skills
I have training in following theoretic modalities: Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT); Narrative Therapy; Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT) and Comprehensive Model for Behavioral Treatment (ComB) for hair pulling, skin picking and other Body-focused repetitive behaviors.
